On the day before the match, Jimmy Bilsland had to call off due to business commitments. Thankfully we managed to get “beginner” Derek Young to play and this was passed on the understanding he didn’t skip or play Third.
The match started with the Ladies racing into a well deserved 4-1 lead after the 3rd end with some excellent curling and looking good. However, the pressure began to tell and the Gents clawed the game back slowly before winning 9-5. The score did not reflect how tight the match was, but as ever an excellent and enjoyable game for everyone.
